There will be a science test over chp. 3 and 4 next Monday!!!
- We sent home a paper on Friday in regards to a survey that students were going to participate in.  If you do not wish for your child to participate, please fill out the paper and send it back to school.
-On Monday, a paper went home discussing scoliosis screening that will take place next Monday (11/17).  If you do not wish for your child to participate, please fill the form out and return it to school.
-Please be sure to get the blue TITLE 1 papers turned back into your child's homeroom teacher!!!

There will be a science post test on Thursday and a regular science test on Friday that will go into the computer!  Be sure to study!!

Math:  Review factoring expressions and discuss substituting values in for variables in expressions
Substitution in Expressions Notes and practice
Science:  Review game over Ecology

Thursday:
Math:  Go over factoring and review substitution.   Finish substitution worksheet.
Science:  Post Test on Ecology.  Study for class science test tomorrow on ecology.  Use the study guide that I posted last week to help!  (Science starter page due tomorrow!)

Friday:
Math:  Discuss writing algebraic expressions  and worksheet;  Go over writing in math with CSET.

-2 marks in 1 week = silent lunch
-3 marks in 1 week  = contact home and silent lunch
-4 marks in 1 week = a long writing assignment
-5 or more marks in 1 week = silent lunch and referral to office

-Some situations may require some steps to be skipped if necessary.  Teacher has discretion.

Science:  Short quiz on biomes,  Animal Cracker activity

Wednesday:

Math:  Begin Unit 2 with Orders of Operation with negative numbers - small worksheet to complete / Computer Lab time on Compass Learning

Science:  Review game on biomes for test tomorrow

Thursday:

Math:  More on operations.  Check work from yesterday.  Puzzle Group Work and problems on worksheet.

Science:  Test on biomes - start biodiversity among organisms.

Math:  Begin combining like terms

Science:  More on Biodiversity and possibly begin photosynthesis.
