Weekly Update - 10/13-10/17

There will be a science post test on Thursday and a regular science test on Friday that will go into the computer!  Be sure to study!!

Monday:  No School

Tuesday:  No School

Wednesday:
Math:  Review factoring expressions and discuss substituting values in for variables in expressions
Substitution in Expressions Notes and practice
Science:  Review game over Ecology

Thursday:
Math:  Go over factoring and review substitution.   Finish substitution worksheet.
Science:  Post Test on Ecology.  Study for class science test tomorrow on ecology.  Use the study guide that I posted last week to help!  (Science starter page due tomorrow!)

Friday:
Math:  Discuss writing algebraic expressions  and worksheet;  Go over writing in math with CSET.

Tuesday:
Math:  Work on combining like terms; go to computer lab
Science:  Worksheet on cycles of matter

Wednesday:
Sub today:  Review combining like terms and also the cycles of matter

Thursday:
Review work from sub from yesterday

Friday:
Math:  Go over combining like terms briefly and start on factoring expressions
Science:  Go over study guide for Ecology.  Below are the correct answers for study guide

There will be a test next Thursday over all of Ecology, so study the study guide!!!

-No marks for 1 week = candy
-2 marks in 1 week = silent lunch
-3 marks in 1 week  = contact home and silent lunch
-4 marks in 1 week = a long writing assignment
-5 or more marks in 1 week = silent lunch and referral to office

-Some situations may require some steps to be skipped if necessary.  Teacher has discretion.

Next week (October 6 - October 10) is SPIRIT WEEK at WESTSIDE!  Here is how to dress each day if your child wants to participate!

Monday: Tie Dye Day
Tuesday: America Day - Red, White, and Blue
Wednesday: Tacky Day
Thursday: Dress Your Best (we were thinking ties, dresses, etc…)
Friday: College Spirit
