-Field Trip to "The Giver" Movie in Dalton is next Tuesday (9/2).  Cost is $10.  Money and 2 permission forms (one to watch pg-13 movie and the other for field trip) are due THIS FRIDAY!  Students may bring money for concessions.  Students may bring lunch from home, get a school lunch, or get a lunch at the food court at Dalton Mall.
-MAPS testing is this week for Mr. Critz' homeroom.  Nichols' homeroom will be next week.

Monday:
Math:  Go over ordering rational numbers.  Do Engage Lesson 7.2.1 over "Opposite Quantities Combine to Make Zero."
Science:  Begin Ecology Notes

Tuesday:
Math:  Review lesson from yesterday and check ws.  Scavenger hunt with abs. value, Cinderella sheet math practice
Science:  Review Latin Terms - quiz on Friday , read about ecosystems and organization of life, Bean activity on population (paper due on Friday), notes on what we read about

Wednesday:
Math:  Review from yesterday and check Cinderella sheet, Engage Lesson 7.2.2 on adding integers on number line/ worksheet due tomorrow.  Integer activity on number line sheet due on Friday
Science:  Review or do bean activity (sheet due on Friday), review Latin Terms and terms from this unit, work on chp. 18 vocab, more notes on food web and chains

Thursday:
Math:  Engage lesson  7.2.4 = Efficiently adding rational numbers - Problem set due tomorrow
Science:  Jellybean activity with trophic levels - pyramid worksheet

Friday:
Math:  Review work from yesterday - more on adding integers
Science:  Latin Terms Quiz, collect bean activity sheet, go over pyramid sheet, finish chp. 18 vocab

Wednesday:
Math:  Review from yesterday, compare and order rational numbers
Science:  Lab Write up due tomorrow.  Test over Scientific Method

Thursday:
Math:  More work with ordering rational numbers

Science:  Scientific Method powerpoint, short video on lab safety - Quiz tomorrow on Lab Safety

Tuesday:

Math:  Go over Word problem worksheet from yesterday - Do all operations with decimals.  Word problem worksheet and small problem worksheet.  Word Problem sheet due tomorrow.  Group Work

Science:  Lab Safety Quiz, Review Powerpoint on sci method.  Review conversions and variables.

Wednesday:

Math:  Go over decimal word problem sheet from yesterday.  Review operations with fractions.  Word problem sheet on fractions due tomorrow and finish small problem worksheet (due on Friday).  Group Work.

Science:  Go over variables and review conversions.  A - Conversion Worksheet

Thursday:

Math:  Go over fraction word problem worksheet.  Review Simplifying fractions and Equivalent Fractions - Worksheet (due tomorrow) on Equal Fractions - Small problem sheet due tomorrow.  Group Work.

Science:  A - Review Conversion Sheet  and do Measurement activity.  B- Go over Simpson Variable sheet and do measurement activity.

Friday:  Starter Quiz in Math and Science.

Math:  Go over equivalent fractions worksheet and also small problem sheet.  Review changing fractions to decimal and percents and also ordering rational numbers. - Worksheet and word problems.

Science:  Go over measurement activity and do lab activity.  After lab activity, students must write up their lab in the proper format as instructed by the teacher.

SCIENTIFIC METHOD TEST on MONDAY.  Students should have notes over the ppt.  They will also have to do a few conversions.  Below is the ppt for sci. method notes.
